¡Hola! — Hi!

I’m Carlos Kazyak-Albaladejo Muñiz — an openly queer Boricua multidisciplinary designer & artist.

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, currently residing in Detroit, MI with my spouse and our three pit bulls, where I currently work as a freelance art director. Before relocating to Detroit, I lived in Chicago where I worked for Abercrombie & Fitch as a senior graphic designer for Hollister. Previously, I lived in New York City where I worked for various design studios, live entertainment, communication agencies, pharmaceuticals, and retail marketing. Prior, I lived and attended school in Atlanta, Georgia where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

My approach to design is rooted in problem solving as I seek to ensure clients that creating solutions through design is possible, without compromising creativity and fun. I am an advocate of design for good and utilizing design as a tool of activism. I have experience in packaging design, digital design, UI/UX, illustration (digital & by hand), motion design, print design, branding, logo design, live entertainment advertising, and product development.

On my free time you may find me tattooing, baking cakes or making puerto rican food.
